Program for the day

Morning

We leave Huaraz at 8am, picking you up at your hostel, and head to Catac. From there we go to Quebrada Carpa. The first stop we have is in Patococha Lake where migratory birds arrive after a long journey across South America. The second stop is at Puyas Raymondi Forest, where we can observe the highest flower cactus in the world, measuring up to 7 meters high. In this zone, there is natural gas water source. From there we go to Pastoruri stop from where we start the walk to Pastoruri Glacier, that lasts for about 40min.

Afternoon

Around the Glacier there is a lot of sign posts with information to complete our guides knowledge. If you are lucky we can find fossils. You will have 2 hours to relax up there before heading back down. On the way down we stop to look at cave paintings. We then go back to Huaraz with our transport.
